Well, Love Island 2025 has certainly given us plenty to talk about. Former Love Islanders seem to have plenty of opinions about the show, too. Here are the iconic former Love Islanders who have slammed Love Island 2025 (so far).
Jessy Potts does not seem to be a fan of Harry
Can’t say I blame her. In cast you clocked out of Love Island last year, Jessy was coupled up with Joey Essex. They lasted seven weeks outside of the villa.

Jessy told the Mirror she’d had enough of all the Harry-Helena-Shakira drama. She said: “I’m over it. Harry’s a 30-year-old man — come on. Helena’s been playing along with the boys, but it’s backfired. I think Shakira and Harry will get back together and last like… 1.5 days!”
Interestingly, Jessy also shared she thought the divide between the two factions of girls in the villa was the worst she’d seen on Love Island. “You can literally feel it through the screen.

“I know how easy it can be because when I first went in I was so lonely because I was a bombshell and I had to speak to all the guys so the girls didn’t warm to me.”
Of course, Shaughna Phillips has an opinion
The iconic 2020 girl wishes Love Island 2025 would just ditch one major part of the show. She told OK on behalf of Card Player, that she really hates all the final dates. “”I literally don’t care. I don’t care where you are taking them, just stop it, just don’t. I know it’s called Love Island, but I don’t want to watch couples. I want to watch people tear each other apart. It gets boring especially in the last week when everyone is in their couples and loves each other.”
Shaughna also revealed she’s a big fan of Yas. Well, who isn’t? She said: “I do think Love Island do have a little bit of a generic boy and girl they find and Yasmin didn’t really meet that. She dressed different, she didn’t really have the bouncy blow dry and I just think she’s incredible.”
Siânnise Fudge wrote an emotional Instagram story
Remember Siânnise, who was the runner-up of the winter Love Island in 2020, alongside Luke? She shared her opinions on the Love Island 2025 boys.
@sianniseafudge this season has been wild to say the least
She posted a quote from Bella Hadid onto her Instagram story, that read: “I constantly went back to men that abused me. I would become silent and cry. [As a] people please, I was putting my worth in the hands of everyone else.”
Siânnise then wrote underneath: “I came across this post a few days ago and it really [resonated] with what we are being shown/taught watching Love Island this year and it also [resonated] with myself.
“I have been a victim in my past relationships of this behaviour which I thought was normal – and that’s the scariest part.
“It’s so disappointing and very disturbing that this behaviour on national TV, especially on one of the biggest TV shows, is being normalised. Those girls deserve so much more, they deserve to be respected and my heart goes out to them. I’m sure they will need a lot of support when they are out as I know the intensity of that environment and having to deal with that behaviour on top is just awful.”
