The Sims 4 has just launched a big new update, both for the base game and for the release of the new expansion pack Enchanted By Nature – but something has reportedly happened that certainly wasn’t intentional. A load of The Sims 4 players are reporting that EA Games has accidentally removed a major feature that is causing game breaking glitches and bugs, and the feature that apparently got accidentally removed is one of the most important and integral to any Sims gameplay. Twitter and Reddit are currently flooded with players complaining that this one feature is bugged as hell after The Sims 4 update has allegedly accidentally removed this gameplay feature – here’s what you need to know and what’s been said so far.

After the new update, Sims 4 players soon started reporting major issues with how pregnancy worked in game. People are reporting that their Sims can no longer take pregnancy tests and the game won’t show you any trimesters.
So uh the developers accidentally deleted the code or the file that is needed in order for sims to technically get pregnant. So in game rn you can’t take a pregnancy test, no trimesters or anything to do with pregnancy. but this also severely interferes with Pandasamas mod

One person on Reddit reported they “noticed some issues too, for me it was taking at least two tries to get the option to take a pregnancy test. Then one of my Sims was pregnant seemingly after the first try but there was no moodlet and no option to take a test. Confirmed in CAS full edit (not able to change life stage due to pregnancy). Reloading the game made the moodlet appear and the rest of the pregnancy went as expected.”
Another reported a messy situation in which “after the update, my butler somehow got pregnant and when I went to mc pregnancy to look who the father is, it says that the partner is the butler. So she’s self-replicating which is lovely, but also she’s been in third trimester for about a month now, and I don’t know how to make her not pregnant at this point. On the other hand, when my player Sims got pregnant, it was fine aside from pregnancy test not working.”
It all mostly seems to be down to an issue with the pregnancy test.
Has EA responded?
The issue is reportedly under investigation – and will likely be patched ASAP.
