Unexpected Emmerdale couple get hot and steamy as passion suddenly explodes

There is nothing like some exploding passion to get the week off to a good start in Emmerdale.

It’s Emmerdale’s latest unlikely pair with the sexual tension so palpable, no one should leave these two alone anywhere near an unoccupied broom cupboard.

It’s two of the village’s most unlucky in love too – Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), who has painted himself as wholly unlovable, having ended his last marriage with a web of lies that pretty much caused his ex to have a heart attack.

And Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), who’s ex Al was murdered by her grandson Kyle with a shotgun, ex Damon was murdered by Charity, and her 89-year-old ex-fiancé dumped her when he realised that she wasn’t the real Cher.

So unlucky in love doesn’t quite cover it.

But in this case, two wrong’uns might make a right as Kerry and Jai fully get it on. Fans have suspected for months that their bickering and snipery were signs of some burgeoning romance.

Things recently came to a head for the pair when Jai fired Kerry for seemingly drinking on the job before he was forced to rehire her. As she confronted her boss, the pair ended up locked in a room at the depot together when the door handle broke off, and the flames of passion were ignited.

And those flames are set to be fanned.

Kerry clocks that Archie is feeling left out by his dad and urges Jai to prioritise his son. She tells him to pull a sicky so that he and Archie can spend the day together.

In a move that will have several people scratching their heads, Kerry finds herself defending Jai to Lewis (Bradley Riches) and Jimmy (Nick Miles), leading relationship guru Lewis to catch on that Kerry has caught feelings.

Kerry too has twigged that she might be feeling more than distain for her boss and decides to find out if he feels the same. In Caleb’s office she asks him outright, and to hers and everyone else’s surprise, he admits he finds her attractive.

Having not had a man say that to her in a while, Kerry throws caution to the wind and herself at Jai.

But just as things turn steamy, they are caught red-banded by Dylan (Fred Kettle).

As things blossom between them, village mouthpiece Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) realises there is some gossip to be had and puts on the pressure to find out what it is. Are Kerry and Jai about to go public?
