Unions leave the meeting with the Government without further increases, and without 25 days of vacation (with the promise of another 10 cents for 2027)

The main demands of Public Administration (PA) workers continue without a positive response from the Government. In the third round of negotiations taking place this Wednesday between the Secretary of State of the AP, Marisa Garrido, and the unions, the only new thing was the Executive’s promise to increase the value of the meal allowance in the Public Service from the current six euros per working day, by 10 cents, but only from 2027. Another 10 cents will follow in 2028, and another 10 in 2029, when should reach 6.30 euros per working day. As for 2026, it remains unchanged at the current six euros, where it has been since 2023.

All the unions’ remaining demands, such as the return to 25 days of vacation, and salary increases more significant than those foreseen in the agreement signed in 2024, continue to have no positive response.
