United Airlines Makes Major Move For National Parks Travelers

Those looking to travel to Yellowstone or Acadia National Park this year will have a few more options, thanks to United Airlines.

This week, United Airlines announced nine new summer seasonal routes that begin between May and June and run on weekends into early fall. That includes new routes that will make it easier for travelers to get to those two iconic national parks.

If driving is more your style, however, we have also put together a 14,500-mile road trip that takes you through all the national parks in the United States.

Yellowstone National Park

According to a report from Sean Cudahy of The Points Guy, United Airlines is launching a new route that will run from O’Hare International Airport to Yellowstone Regional Airport in Cody, Wyoming. The new route is set to run from May through September.

The small airport in the least populous state in the country will help connect travelers on the east side of the United States to Yellowstone National Park, one of the most iconic national parks in the world.

This is not the first time United has flown this route, as it previously ran the same route in 2021.

Acadia National Park

In addition to connecting travelers from the eastern side of the United States to Yellowstone, United Airlines has also launched a new route that will connect travelers from the west to a beautiful national park in the east, as well.

From late June until early September, United will run a route that connects Denver with Bangor International Airport, which is located an hour northwest of Acadia National Park.

If you are looking to visit Acadia this summer, we’ve put together a first-timer’s guide to the iconic and beautiful national park.
