Updated Rugby World Rankings after Springboks win and All Blacks LOSE

The Springboks returned to winning ways whilst the All Blacks succumbed to a shock loss.

The Springboks beat Australia 30-22 at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday evening.

Thereafter, their rivals, the All Blacks, suffered a shock 29-23 loss against Argentina. So, let’s take a look at how this affects the latest rugby world rankings.

SPRINGBOKS CLOSE THE GAP AS ALL BLACKS LOSE GROUND

The Springboks climbed from third to second after beating the Wallabies 30-22.

The Boks added 0.23 points to their points tally. So, they are currently in second spot at 90.01.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks’ 29-23 loss to Argentina has cost them 1.79 points. NZ sits at on 90.72 at the top of the latest world rankings.

However, the gap between the Springboks and All Blacks has been cut to just 0.71 points at the top.

Additionally, Argentina added 1.79 points to their tally to close the gap on Australia. Los Pumas are still seventh, but they now sit on 83.40. Meaning, Argentina are just 1.45 points behind the Wallabies, who are in sixth position on 84.85 points.
