Viktor Gyokeres has split from his girlfriend Ines Aguiar as the Sporting CP striker continues to push for a transfer to Arsenal this summer.
The Sweden international began publicly dating the 26-year-old Portuguese actress last year and the pair were seen together during Sporting’s title celebrations at Marques de Pombal in Lisbon at the end of May.
Aguiar was also on the pitch with Gyokeres’ family as Sporting celebrated their successive league title victory, while they also attended the Champions League final together at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 31.
But speculation over the status of their relationship began when Aguiar was not with Gyokeres at the wedding of Morten Hjulmand, the striker’s teammate at Sporting, and Emilie Sofie Nissen, who she is friendly with.
Gyokeres and Aguiar then went on separate holidays as the Sporting striker headed to Mykonos with his friends, while the Portuguese actress jetted off to Formentera.

According to TV Guia, Gyokeres and Aguiar have now split as the striker remains determined to leave Sporting and Portugal before the end of the summer transfer window.
‘Viktor doesn’t want anything to link him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he won’t continue at Sporting next season,’ a source close to the player told the Portuguese outlet.

‘Before going on holiday, he spoke to Ines, explained what he felt and she was also prepared in a way, despite it being something that was difficult for her because she really liked him.
‘It was a way of protecting themselves, especially because they knew that one day the separation would happen.’
The source added that Aguiar is ‘devastated’ but the pair maintain a friendly relationship.

Gyokeres has been holding out for a move to Arsenal this summer and has already rejected an offer from Juventus, while he has also told Manchester United that his preference is to join Mikel Arteta’s side.
The 27-year-old, who finished last season with 54 goals in 52 appearances, has a €100 million (£85.1m) release clause in his contract but Sporting are willing to sell him for lower than that amount.
However, Sporting’s president, Frederico Varandas, has been angered by suggestions from Gyokeres’ agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, that a private agreement had been reached to sell the striker for €60m (£51m) plus €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons.
Sporting are understood to be holding out for a €80m (£68.6m) fee to sell the Swede this summer.
Gyokeres is due to report back to Sporting for the start of pre-season training on July 7.
