Was Celeste Rivas Spotted at D4vd Concert Last Month?

As authorities continue to investigate the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, online speculation emerged this week of another connection between the teenage runaway and singer D4vd.

Rivas, who had reportedly been missing for over a year, was found dead and dismembered in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. Burke has been looked into by authorities because of several apparent links to Rivas, but thus far, has not been charged with any crime.

Earlier today, TMZ reported that footage from a D4vd concert in Maryland last month may have shown Rivas enjoying the show from a balcony near the stage.

“Check out this footage from the singer’s August 23 or August 24 concert in Silver Spring, Maryland … there’s a girl watching from a balcony off to the side of the stage … and she resembles Celeste,” the outlet wrote.

As juicy as that possibility may have been, it doesn’t appear to be reality. A follow-up report from TMZ cites a source claiming the girl in the video is not Celeste Rivas.

Connections between Rivas, D4vd

While this apparently is not Rivas in the concert footage, she does have a number of circumstantial tie-ins to D4vd, even beyond the fact her body was found in his abandoned Tesla.

D4vd and Rivas reportedly had matching tattoos, and Rivas’ mother said her daughter was dating someone named David. Additionally, an unreleased 2023 love song by D4vd reportedly mentions a woman named “Celeste” multiple times.

Police also reportedly raided a home connected to D4vd, though he has not officially been named a suspect. The “Romantic Homicide” singer has canceled his upcoming tour and stopped production of an album amid the ongoing investigation.

Rivas’ body returned to her family

According to multiple reports, Rivas’ body has been sent back to her family in Lake Elsinore, Calif., which would seemingly indicate that the medical examiner has completed an autopsy and determined a cause of death. No official cause of death has been announced.

Rivas’ family is hosting a memorial service for her on Monday, Oct. 5, according to a GoFundMe set up for donations.

“As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week,” the GoFundMe reads. “She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. Any funds you are able to donate are greatly appreciated.”
