Moroccan international striker Chamseddine Talbi led his Sunderland team, which returned to the top flight this season, to a remarkable victory over world champion Chelsea 2-1 in the latter’s home, today, Saturday, in the ninth stage of the English football league.

Sunderland raised its score to 17 points and rose to second place temporarily, while Chelsea remained seventh with 14 points and may fall if the teams chasing them succeed in winning.
Third win for Manchester United
Manchester United continued to improve its level under the leadership of coach Ruben Amorim, as Matthews Cunha and Casemiro scored, in addition to two goals from Brian Mbeumo, as the hosts won 4-2 over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, which was their third successive victory in the Premier League.
In an attempt to build on his victory over Liverpool last week for the first time since 2016, Cunha fired a wonderful shot in the 24th minute into the bottom corner of the goal, which was the Brazilian player’s first goal for United.

Brighton’s Danny Welbeck scored a wonderful goal from a free kick against his former club, before Charalambos Kostoulas added a goal with a header in stoppage time to ensure a tense ending at Old Trafford.
With Brighton rushing forward in search of an equaliser, Mbeumo smashed a stunning shot into the roof of the goal to lift United to fourth place in the standings. Brighton remained in twelfth place.

In another match, Newcastle defeated its guest Fulham 2-1.
Newcastle opened the scoring through its winger Eddie Murphy, taking advantage of a grave error by Fulham’s Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey, snatching the ball from him on the outskirts of the area and depositing it into the net (18).
Fulham equalized through Serbian Sasha Lukic with a header following a rebound from the crossbar (56), but the last word went to Newcastle, whose Brazilian captain Bruno Guimarães scored the winning goal in the last minute.
