We found Yaz from Love Island’s old X Factor performances, and her transformation is wild – Bundlezy

We found Yaz from Love Island’s old X Factor performances, and her transformation is wild

Love Island’s Casa Amor girlie Yasmin Broom, who goes by Yaz, introduced herself as a DJ, but it didn’t take long for her to mention her X Factor career.

The 26-year-old told Giorgio she used to be in a girl band, saying: “Before I was a DJ, I was a singer in a girl band. We were on The X Factor. We came in eighth place.”

When he asked why they stopped performing together, she revealed they drifted apart during lockdown, and that was all she said about the singing competition.

However, we’ve done a bit of digging and found some of her old performances – and the Love Islander looks so different!

She was in a band called Four of Diamonds

Yaz went on X Factor with three other girls in a band called Four of Diamonds in 2016. They went all the way through to the live shows before being voted out in the fifth week. Yaz was only 17 at the time and she looks so different, with a dark brown bob and full fringe!

Here are some of their X Factor performances

All of their X Factor performances are still on YouTube, including their audition, where they sang Meghan Trainor’s NO in front of Simon, Louis, Sharon and Nicole.

At Judges’ Houses, they belted out Lorde’s Royals in front of Louis, who enlisted the help of Alesha Dixon and Fleur East to put them through to the Live Finals.

And this was their final week in the show before getting voted out. Their rendition of Wilson Phillips’ Hold On clearly didn’t impress.

They were on their way to major success

After getting booted off the talent show, Four of Diamonds landed a major record deal with EMI, and they were the first girl band to sign with the label since the Spice Girls.

Then, they released their debut track Name On It with Burna Boy, before dropping a song called Stupid Things with Saweetie and Blind.

The girl band supported Rita Ora on her UK arena tour in 2019 and carried on releasing music over the next year or so, but went their separate ways during lockdown.

Since then, Yaz has been a DJ, and she’s performed at some massive festivals across the UK, including Parklife last month.
