He has scored 105 goals for Wrexham in 165 games, cementing his place in the club’s history.

Mullin has proved immensely popular amongst the fanbase and Hollywood owner Ryan Reynolds, who paid tribute to the talisman following his exit.

Reynolds wrote on X: “I can’t imagine seeing Mulls on loan and in another kit.

“We wouldn’t be where we are without his heart, skill and work ethic. We love you, @PMullin7. SPM ⚔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The pair had a close relationship at the Racecourse with Mullin even dressing as Reynolds’ iconic Deadpool character, with a Welsh twist.

Last season Mullin even put on a Deadpool mask after scoring against Salford City.

And after one spectacular goal by Mullin against Blackpool, Reynolds wrote: “This one. So pretty…”

He also named the 30-year-old in his Wrexham Mount Rushmore.

Mullin bid farewell to Wrexham after his loan was finalised, sharing a photo of a shirt commemorating his 100th goal for the club.

He added the caption: “All the very best to everyone at Wrexham this season keep the train rolling.”

Mullin found himself out of favour under manager Phil Parkinson last season, with January signings Jay Rodriguez and Sam Smith knocking the striker down the pecking order.

Wrexham have brought in another striker this summer, Plymouth Argyle’s Ryan Hardie, who will add much-needed Championship experience to the squad.
