The National Meteorological Service (SMN), official climate source of the Government of Mexico, reported on the morning of this Thursday, October 23 that cold front number 10 is approaching the country and will have effects on the weather, generating rain and winds in some states. Here is the forecast of this natural phenomenon:

For this day, a new cold front will approach the northern border of Mexicoin interaction with the subtropical jet stream and a trough at mid and upper levels of the atmosphere over the northwest and north of the country, It will cause heavy occasional rains in Chihuahua (west) and showers in Sonora (east and southeast)in addition to winds of 30 to 45 km/h with gusts of 65 to 80 km/h and possible whirlwinds in the north of Coahuila, as well as gusts of 45 to 60 km/h in Chihuahua and gusts of 35 to 50 km/h in Baja California and Sonora.
FORECAST FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24
The cold front (No. 10), a trough at altitude and the subtropical jet stream will travel through northern Mexico, causing heavy occasional rains in Chihuahua (northeast and southwest) and Coahuila (northeast), and isolated rains in Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. In addition to wind of 30 to 45 km/h with gusts of 65 to 80 km/h and possible whirlwinds in Coahuila, and with gusts of 45 to 60 km/h in Chihuahua.

FORECAST FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25
The cold front (No. 10) in interaction with a trough at altitude and the subtropical jet stream will move over northeastern Mexico, generating intervals of showers in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipasas well as wind of 20 to 30 km/h with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h in the aforementioned states.
