This weekend several natural phenomena will affect Mexico, including cold fronts that will cause a drop in temperatures and rain. These are the details, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the official climate source of the Government of Mexico.
This Friday, a low pressure area with a probability of cyclonic development off the coast of the Mexican South Pacific and the entry of humidity will generaten very heavy rains in Guerrero and Oaxacain addition to high waves on the coast of Oaxaca.
Cold front no. 7 will extend very close to the northern border of Mexicowill interact with a trough at medium and high levels of the atmosphere over the northwest of the country and with the subtropical jet stream, causing drop in temperature, strong gusts of wind, rain and showers in these regions.

The low pressure area with a probability of cyclonic development will move slowly off the coast of the Mexican southern Pacificgenerating in its advance heavy to very heavy rains in the south of the Mexican territory, as well as showers in the west of the country, in addition to high waves on the coasts of Oaxaca, Guerrero, Michoacán, Colima and Jalisco. On Saturday, tropical wave no. 38 will be absorbed by said low pressure zone.

Low pressure channels over the interior of the national territory and the Mexican southeast, in combination with the entry of humidity from the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, will cause showers and heavy to very heavy rains in the center, east and southeast of Mexico, as well as the Yucatan Peninsula; intense occasional rains are forecast in areas of Chiapas during Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, a trough at high levels of the atmosphere over the Yucatan Peninsula will reinforce the probability of rain in said peninsula.
