After the intense rains that hit the country in recent days, whose impact was catastrophic for various locations in the states of Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Querétaro and San Luis Potosí, the Government of the President Claudia Sheinbaum announced, through the Welfare Secretariatthe delivery of financial support and household goods to affected households.

During the morning conference, the Secretary of Welfare, Ariadna Montielreported that, under the coordination of the Program for the Wellbeing of People in Social or Natural Emergency (PESN), 600 brigades made up of 3,000 public servants will be deployed in charge of carrying out a Wellbeing Census to identify the most damaged homes.
Montiel explained that the census will include a format that will collect information about personal data, household members, damage or loss, conditions of the home and its services, affected furniture and articles, effects on agriculture, livestock and fishing, as well as damaged premises and property ownership data.
Once the registration is completed, the homes will be identified with a registration label. “Census housing”which will allow families to access support.
The head of Welfare explained that During this and next week, the first financial support will be delivered, intended to support the cleaning efforts. Likewise, he specified that the delivery of household goods will depend on the analysis produced by the census.
The equipment package will include:
- Fridge
- Stove
- Mattress
- Crockery
- Fan

As of this Thursday, 58 municipalities have been censused: 13 in Veracruz, 17 in Hidalgo, 15 in Puebla, 7 in Querétaro and 6 in San Luis Potosí.
In total, 26,311 homes have been registered: 17,120 in Veracruz, 1,221 in Hidalgo, 681 in Querétaro, 4,796 in Puebla and 2,493 in San Luis Potosí.
