Whether you love Helena Ford or hate her, you’ve got to admit that Love Island 2025 wouldn’t be the same without her. Where would we all be without the unnecessarily drawn out Harry-Helena-Shakira love triangle drama?

Helena Ford is a London girly
She’s 29 years old, making her one of the oldest contestants in the villa this year. She’s from Devon, and now lives in London.

She quit her job to go on Love Island
Helena studied journalism at the University of Gloucestershire from 2014 to 2017. In 2018, she got a job as cabin crew for British Airways. Helena is quite the jet setter – her Insta is full of glamorous pics of her in Australia, Berumda, Dubai, Florida, Italy, Kenya, the Maldives, Monaco, Miami, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, St Lucia and Tennessee. Wow, she must have a lot of stamps on her passport.
A Love Island producer saw Helen on a flight and figured she might be a good fit for Love Island.
She actually quit her job of seven years to go on Love Island. Well, it’s a good thing she hasn’t been dumped yet. Helena wasn’t allowed to tell her boss exactly why she was leaving – she just said she was the star of a TV show. She told the Daily Star: “I have actually left [my job] but they’ve said that I could go back, which is good. Always nice to have the option! Just keeping my options open, like obviously I can still go back to British Airways.” She then added, “I mean, there might be a few things that if I did do them they might not let me back in!” Well, at least she has a back-up plan if she fails to land 1,000 fast fashion deals after her time on the show.

Helena has a gazillion celebrity connections
The contacts on her phone must look so cool. Helena is apparently very familiar with the national icon Zara McDermott. She told journalists before heading into the villa: “I do know Zara McDermott, one of my friends is her best friend. But I didn’t actually manage to speak to her before I went in because she’s really busy with filming her documentary at the moment.”
Apparently she also knows Piers Morgan’s son Spencer, and Gary Lineker’s son Angus.
She does also have an extremely tenuous link to Justin Bieber. He followed her Twitter account when she was 13. What a flex that must have been at school.

Helena used to look very different in resurfaced pics from her late teens and early 20s. We know Helena got lip filler back in 2021 at a clinic where she was apparently a “regular client”.
Her tweets from 2014 are very controversial
This week, posts resurfaced from what appears to be her Twitter account. She wrote in 2014: “All I can hear are these f*cking foreign dickheads.” Lots of Love Island viewers accused this tweet of being xenophobic. In other posts, Helena also called her mother a “dog” and a “sl*g”.
A source close to Helena told The Tab: “This tweet is not reflective of the language Helena would use as a 30 year old woman and she would acknowledge she has done a lot of growing up since what she very naively posted over ten years ago.”
