The Celebrity Race Across The World route has been shared by the BBC, after the broadcaster released the full line-up for the upcoming 2025 series.

A new group of celebs, including the freshly-engaged Strictly couple Tyler West and Molly Rainford, will be taking on the ultimate challenge to go in a globe-trotting race with no help from the internet or TV crew in their wake.

Ahead of the Bafta-award-winning show’s imminent return to BBC One this autumn, the third series route has been mapped and is set to span the Caribbean and Pacific coast of Central America.

The celebrity pairings will kick off their journey on the idyllic Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres, just off the easternmost point of Mexico.

The teams will then be tasked with racing 5,900km to reach the finish line in the remote Península de La Guajira in Colombia, described as the gateway to South America.

The brand-new group of celebrity pairings for the eagerly awaited third series include a total of four duos.

Those embarking on the adventure are radio presenter Anita Rani and her dad Bal; Derry Girls actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie; the Strictly alums and couple DJ Tyler West and Molly Rainford as well as The One Show presenter Roman Kemp and his sister Harleymoon.

We don’t yet have a release date for the six episodes, but we know they will arrive on the Beeb and iPlayer this year.

So far the BBC has promised in their official announcement of the series: ‘Our familiar faces will say goodbye to lavish transport, smartphones and bank cards and instead must rely on limited budgets, local transport and their own resourcefulness, as well as the kindness of strangers.

‘Relationships will be tested and transformed as they discover the world, and themselves, in ways they never expected.’

Last year’s series came to a nail-biting end, shortly before Scott Mills and his husband Sam clinched the 2024 win.

In the final episode of the series, the four teams rushed to the finish line in the Chilean seaside town of Frutillar.

Each team chose different routes by bus, coach, taxi and even hitch-hiking. The entire 12,500km route took 30 days for the groups to complete.

Tim Harcourt, Chief Creative Officer of production company Studio Lambert, said: ‘The series’ success is a testament to how much audiences connect with the show’s raw emotion, incredible journeys, and heartfelt human stories.

‘This series brings a new set of celebrities into that world and what makes it so special is watching them open up, bond, and grow through a life-changing experience.

‘It’s inspiring, unpredictable, and full of those powerful moments that have made the format such a hit with viewers.’

Celebrity Race Across The World returns this autumn on the BBC.
