Apart from being the Biggest full moon of the yearthis Supermoon is the second of 3 consecutive ones that close in 2025, the first being the Super Harvest Moon that occurred at the beginning of October and the last being the Cold Supermoonwhich is expected to reach beginning of December.
What is a Supermoon?
According to National Geographic, the term “superluna” was coined by astronomer Richard Nolle in the 1970s and occurs when The full Moon is at its closest point to Earthknown as perigee, making it appear larger and brighter than a usual full Moon.
These days, the Full Moon can be seen up to 14% larger and up to 30% brighter.
When to see the Super Beaver Moon 2025 in Yucatán?
