Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly shocked Strictly fans this morning by announcing they were quitting the hit BBC show.
The pair revealed the news with a video on Daly’s Instagram, where they addressed ‘rumblings’ about them quitting.
‘We want you to hear this from us,’ said Claudia.
‘After 21 wonderfully joyful years on Strictly, we have decided that the time is right to step aside, and pass over the baton,’ Tess interjected.
The news, of course, sent shockwaves through the Strictly fandom as the presenting duo have been a staple of the ballroom for the last 21 years.

Almost immediately, fans started speculating who could possibly replace the dynamic duo as hosts of the show.
Who might replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on Strictly?
Well, to answer the big question, Metro reached out to Paddy Power and looked at other bookies’ odds to get the inside scoop on which presenters are in with a chance of stepping into Tess and Claudia’s sequined boots.
Roman Kemp

Paddy Power has Roman Kemp as the favourite to present Strictly next.
They’ve given him odds of (7/4) and he’s not the only one. The 32-year-old One Show host is also Ladbroke’s favourite as well.
Roman and his Dad, musician and actor Martin Kemp, have been appearing on Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox since 2019.
He presented Capital Breakfast from 2017 – 2024, and finished third in the 2019 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
Fleur East

Another radio and TV name who could be in with a chance of replacing Tess and Claudia, according to bookies, is Fleur East.
The singer-songwriter now presents the Hits Radio Breakfast Show and co-hosts Strictly: It Takes Two – the spin-off show which airs weeknights on BBC Two.
She’s second in the running according to Paddy Power and Ladbrokes (2/1).
Coral Bookmakers put her third likely to become the next Strictly Come Dancing host (4/1).
Janette Manrara

Like Fleur, Janette Manrara is a face already associated with Strictly as she co-hosts It Takes Two alongside the singer.
Once a professional dancer on the show, Janette knows the show well.
Paddy Power predicts her third most likely to take the presenting slot (7/2), while Ladbrokes has her odds a little lower (6/1).
She’s the second favourite according to Coral Bookmakers (3/1).
Holly Willoughby

The former This Morning host, Holly Willoughby, is in the predicted list of people to take over from Tess and Claudia.
She’s a trusted presenter with years of experience and isn’t unfamiliar with hosting dance competitions.
The Dancing on Ice host is the fourth favourite from Paddy Power (7/2) to become the next face of Strictly.
Rylan Clark

Another celebrity who could be shouting the famous Strictly catchphrase, ‘keep dancing’, is Rylan Clark.
Paddy Power have the presenter down as the fifth favourite to replace Tess and Claudia (9/2). He ranks third with Ladbrokes (3/1) and fourth with Coral (5/1).
Rylan has a BBC podcast and hosts Saturday afternoons on Radio 2.
Could he be the next glitzy host?
Alison Hammond

Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off presenter, Alison Hammond, is down as Paddy Power’s sixth favourite to take the presenting gig.
She’s tipped as Ladbroke’s seventh (6/1).
Alison has been making viewers laugh since she appeared on the third series of Big Brother in 2002.
Since then, she’s taken on various presenting gigs, including ITV’s This Morning and appeared on reality shows like I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton

Two celebs who would be a perfect replacement for Tess and Claudia are Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
The former Strictly champions have been given 2/1 odds by Megaways Slots.
It makes sense, the pair know the way around the dance floor after lifting the Glitterball trophy in 2019, and as a couple, you just know they’ve got great chemistry.
Strictly Come Dancing returns this Saturday on BBC One.
