She’s one of the women at the centre of the fiery Beckham family feud – but who exactly is Kim Turnbull, and how does she fit into the puzzle?
Earlier this week, eldest child Brooklyn Beckham, 26, well and truly set the cat among the pigeons by launching a scathing social media takedown of parents Sir David Beckham, 50, and Victoria Beckham, 51.
In a series of unprecedented Instagram Stories, the budding chef accused his mum and dad of ‘controlling’ him and said his wife, Nicola Peltz, had been consistently ‘disrespected’ by his famous family.
Brooklyn and American actress Nicola, 31, wed in 2022, and rumours of a rift between the lovebirds and Posh and Becks have swirled ever since, with everything coming to a head when Brooklyn decided he had to ‘tell the truth’.
But putting Nicola and Victoria’s beef aside for one moment (if you can), there’s another woman who is a key player in it all.
Enter Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend Kim – who has a surprising connection to Brooklyn’s past.
Who is Kim Turnbull?
Born and raised in London, Kim Turnbull is a model and DJ, having kick-started her career in 2017 and since working with brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Rimmel London, and Ellesse.
She often shares high-fashion snaps on her Instagram, which boasts 71,000 followers.
At 24 years old, she’s a year older than Romeo and was first linked to the model and former footballer in October 2024.
How did Kim and Romeo meet, and how long have they been dating?
Towards the end of 2024, Kim and Romeo were spotted on lunch dates and dog walks, and a month later, they made things Insta-official as Romeo was photographed kissing her hand.
Kim also attended Sir David’s infamous 50th birthday bash last May, where the likes of Tom Cruise partied away until the early hours. So hard, in fact, that it sparked noise complaints.
Of course, Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from the celebrations, which is when speculation surrounding a family feud intensified. Brooklyn has since claimed in his post that he and Nicola were ‘rejected for a week’ after flying home to attempt to spend ‘quality time’ with his dad.
‘He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner,’ the former photographer wrote.
But the Peltz-Beckhams weren’t the only couple to raise eyebrows at the time of the party.
Just three weeks after the extravaganza, Kim and Romeo announced that they had split, as it was heavily rumoured that her earlier so-called relationship with Brooklyn was causing tensions.
Clearly unable to stay apart, though, she and Romeo rekindled their romance months later and have been together ever since.
Did Kim Turnbull and Brooklyn Beckham date? The ex-girlfriend rumours explained
In his tell-all statement, Brooklyn claimed his mum has ‘repeatedly invited women from [his] past into [his and Nicola’s] lives’ in ways that were ‘clearly intended to make [them] both uncomfortable’.
Many believe this to be a not-so-subtle dig at Kim.
It has long been alleged that Kim and Brooklyn dated, which is what subsequently made Lola star Nicola ‘jealous’.
Kim finally broke her silence last June, around the time she and Romeo first called it quits.
In a lengthy post, she began: ‘I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.’
‘I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative. I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question,’ she stated without naming Brooklyn explicitly.
She continued: ‘Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation [and] set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.’
Romeo’s younger brother Cruz has also shut down the reports.
In a now-deleted post, a fan is said to have written underneath a photo of Romeo and Kim: ‘It’s appropriate to date your brother’s ex too? Cool.’
Musician Cruz, 20, then wrote back: ‘Brooklyn and Kim never dated.’
And while Romeo himself has not commented on the situation, he did send a rather cryptic message when he reposted a snap from Audrey Hepburn film Roman Holiday, including the line: ‘What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.’
Alongside a seemingly sarcastic kissing face, he added underneath: ‘Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies.’
It didn’t take long for people to assume this was relating to Brooklyn, given how there has been plenty of mud-slinging online between him, Romeo, and Cruz on socials.
The younger siblings have made digs at his ever-changing careers, while Brooklyn says he has now been blocked by them.
‘Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer,’ he wrote this week.
But whatever the truth is on this exactly, we’ll likely never know, since everyone’s version of events differs.
In December last year, Cruz claimed that his mum and dad had ‘woken up blocked’ by Brooklyn, as did he, defying initial reports that they had blocked Brooklyn. In contrast, Brooklyn says it was the other way around.
