Ben Driscoll leaves quite an impression on the residents of Coronation Street when he rock up on the cobble this week alongside returnee Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley).
Eva, as viewers know, arrives back on the eponymous Street after 7 years away, taking over the Rovers Return as the new landlady.
It marks the beginning of an exciting new era for the ITV soap and reunites Eva with sisters Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and Leanne (Jane Danson).
Ben goes down a storm with the residents upon his debut and we have no doubt that he will also be welcomed with open arms by viewers.
The character arrives on the Street on Monday (October 27) with Eva, who is delighted to be back where she belongs behind the bar.
‘We are beyond thrilled that Eva is returning as the landlady of the Rovers, with her new blended family in tow,’ said Corrie boss Kate Brooks.
‘The Driscolls do not arrive quietly, so expect big drama, explosive secrets and raucous knees ups galore.
‘To have actors of Catherine, Aaron and Pauline [McLynn]’s considerable calibre at the beating heart of this family is absolutely wonderful, and we can’t wait for you to get to know and fall in love with them as much as we have already done.

Fans will no doubt recognise the actor who plays Ben for having starred in a number of well-known shows over the years and, with that in mind, let’s take a look at everything we know about him.
Who plays Ben in Coronation Street and what else has he been in?
Ben Driscoll is played by Irish actor Aaron McCusker.
He is perhaps best known for playing Jamie McGuire in Channel 4’s Shameless, appearing in over 100 episodes between 2007 and 2013.
In addition to Shameless, he also starred in the final series of ITV’s Marcella and is known for playing Jim Hutton, Freddie Mercury’s boyfriend, in 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
Ben Driscoll isn’t the first time that Aaron has played the landlord of a pub as he is also known for portraying Clint Dunwoody in Hope Street.
Clint runs the Commodore pub with wife Nicole Devine-Dunwoody in the BBC One Northern Irish drama, which has enjoyed four successful series’ thus far.
Coincidentally, Hope Street returns to screens this week for series 5 (with the whole boxset dropping on iPlayer this evening), so audiences will be able to see Aaron playing two landlords at once.
The actor has also appeared in The Bill, Dexter, Silent Witness, 24: Live Another Day and Fortitude.
