Willam just revealed if she wants to be on good terms with RuPaul and Drag Race again

If you’re a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and I mean an actual fan, you’ll know exactly why Willam and Courtney Act have never been on an All Stars season of the franchise. There’s never been official word from World of Wonder, but Willam has loudly proclaimed for years the reasons why she will never be back, and it involves the time she claims to have had a shouting match in the street with RuPaul over their friend Mathu Anderson. Courtney Act has also been in spats with Ru, who apparently has her blocked on social media. Now the two have finally got into it about their shared lack of World of Wonder appearances, and Willam revealed whether she wants to be on good terms with RuPaul and Drag Race again in the future.

‘I’m not bitter’

Willam has long been critical of World of Wonder for many years now, and it’s an open discussion amongst queens from the franchise that feel like if they speak out against the show the show no longer invites them back. Willam even this year has been retelling the story of the argument with Ru in the street and last year Willam was “removed” from Drag Race. Both Willam and Courtney Act have made a success of themselves without World of Wonder – and now both have successful projects on the Moguls of Media network.

Willam is the latest guest on Courtney’s RnR podcast – and spilled more tea in the new episode that dropped earlier today. Because of how outspoken Willam has been regarding Drag Race, Courtney asks her if she sees herself as the leader of the resistance when it comes to speaking out about Drag Race.

Willam says “I don’t want to call myself a resistance because I love World of Wonder’s products. I like their TV shows, I like their documentaries, I like a lot of the people there. I say these stories over and it makes me sound crazy and bitter but the facts are there.

“My gratitude isn’t conditional on my mood. It’s always there for RuPaul and for World of Wonder.”

Obviously, people would ADORE Willam back on All Stars – so Courtney asks the big question – would Willam ever forgive and forget with World of Wonder or RuPaul if the opportunity ever arose?

Willam says: “My ethos is be on good terms with others as far as humanly possible. I wish for the most benevolent outcome each day. I see people calling me bitter and angry and that I’ve ruined Alaska’s All Winners chance. I’m not bitter.

“I’m okay with burning the bridge to light the way if it helps people to not fall in the same traps that are set by the people who can give them big breaks.”

I’m taking that as a yes, if the situation for RuPaul and Willam and a Drag Race return was all established under good terms. I would love nothing more than all parties to patch it up, to be honest.
