THOMSON, Ga. (WJBF)- The big ‘Freedom Blast’ event is happening and it’s part of our ‘WJBF Your Hometown Tour’.
The free event will have food vendors, fellowship and fun.
Kids will have a free play area with water slides and more.
Parents, bring chairs and blankets as a great firework show will also take place.
President & CEO for the Thomson-McDuffie County Chamber of Commerce explains what’s happening at this year’s Freedom Blast.
“We’ll still have all of the wonderful waterslide activities that sprinklers from the fire department for the younger kids and then, you know, just for family fun throughout the day. One thing we did add, though, we added more food trucks this year,” said Kenya Calhoun.
Tonight’s event begins at 7pm at the Thomson-McDuffie Government Complex located on Railroad Street.
WJBF will begin broadcasting live with Brad, Jennie and Jenna at 4, 5 and 6pm.
Our free ‘Touch a Truck’ event for kids starts at 4pm.
