WWE announced massive news about WrestleMania, and it’s truly astonishing.
Flanked by Turki Al-Sheikh, one of the most powerful sports figures and the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, WWE legend and the organization’s chief content officer Triple H announced on Friday that WrestleMania 47 will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
When the spectacle takes place, it’ll be the first time the iconic event will ever take place outside of North America. WWE had previously announced that Royal Rumble will take place in January 2026.

Turki Al-Sheikh has already essentially taken over the sport of boxing. Now he’s making his mark on the world’s most elite professional wrestling organization.
Since its inception, WrestleMania has always taken place in the United States, and twice in Canada at the SkyDome (now the Rogers Centre) in 1990 and 2002, in Toronto.
Reaction to the news was swift.
One fan replied to WWE’s video announcement on X, “Don’t know how anyone can defend this s–t TKO absolutely destroyed this company Ruined a yearly family tradition for a lot of people Great job I’m sure the replies will be absolutely positive.”

Another fan commented, “Before the UK. Before France. Before any of the cities owed a mania. In a city that is oppressive to half of your staff Because the boss has a buddy in Saudi Arabia. Embarrassing.”
