WWE is officially taking WrestleMania 43 to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

For the first time ever in its history, the wrestling giant’s biggest show of the year will be held outside North America, and it’s gutting news for UK fans hoping for a European Mania.

The announcement was made during a star-studded live stream from Las Vegas, where this weekend’s Canelo vs. Crawford fight is taking place.

Joe Tessitore started the broadcast where a logo for WrestleMania 43 Riyadh is visible in the background.

They’re in the city to support Dana White, who runs UFC under the same TKO banner as WWE, as he launches his boxing venture but the wrestling world stole the headlines on Friday.

The event is being live streamed on the WWE YouTube account (you can watch it just below), with Triple H joined by fellow Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.

Also part of the event are Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Bianca Belair, Stephanie Vaquer, Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan.

At midnight UK time, Triple H promised something big was on the horizon.
He casually wrote on X: ‘We’ll be making a huge announcement on @WWE’s YouTube channel. Friday at 3:00pm ET/12:00pm PT.’

He added: ‘I told you we’d change the game. And we’re just getting started.’

The big reveal comes with WWE already set to hold the Royal Rumble internationally for the first time with the 2026 edition hailing from Riyadh, and fans had speculated that WrestleMania wouldn’t be far behind.

There had been hopes the UK would host the Showcase of the Immortals with London Mayor Sadiq Khan being vocal about his desire to land the event.

John Cena first raised the possibility back in July 2023, while Triple H teased at the time that you can ‘never say never’.

However, he told Metro: ‘As far as WrestleMania goes, it’s tough! I wish it was that easy, I wish it was as easy as saying, “Man, it’s phenomenal there, let’s go.” We’d be going to a lot of places.’

Fans in the UK and Europe are still being spoiled though, after Raw and SmackDown broadcasts on the Road to WrestleMania followed by several shows leading into Clash In Paris.

While Saudi Arabia is getting the Royal Rumble in 2026, WWE has announced a raft of events in the buildup.
